St.Joseph’s Degree & PG college (Extended Campus), an Autonomous College – affiliated to Osmania University was established by Hyderabad Archdiocese Educational Society (HAES) in the year 1997. The College which is marching ahead on the path of excellence under the visionary leadership of our Chairman Most Rev.Thumma Bala D.D, Archbishop of Hyderabad and Principal Rev. Fr. Dr. D. Sunder Reddy. Inspired by our Saint Patron, St. Joseph, the College strives to instill in its members the work ethics; to develop and strengthen character; and to inculcate the values of KNOWLEDGE, LOVE AND SERVICE.

The College has a leading name in the field of higher education and has earned several top prestigious rankings by reputed magazines like The week, Competition Success Review, Business Standard etc. The College is Re-accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade for its “Distinctive Education Environment”, focusing on developing social and ethical values among the students, while equipping them with right competencies to meet the dynamics of the global markets.


The Department of Business Management had its inception in the year 2001. The Department offers a two-year full time programme of Masters in Business Administration, affiliated to Osmania University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The course started with an intake of 40 students which gradually increased to 120. The college received autonomous status for PG in the year 2013 and offers Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) from the academic year 2015-2016. From the academic year 2014-2015 onwards the department offers dual specialization and from 2018-2019 academic year onwards the college offers Operations as one of the specialisation for MBA students apart from HR, Marketing and Finance.

At the under graduate level the department offers BBA course since 2011 after the St. Joseph’s Degree & PG College has become autonomous in March 2011. BBA (Information Technology) course was introduced in the year 2017 and BBA (Business Analytics) was introduced in  collaboration with IBM in the year 2017.


Globalisation has driven industry 4.0 with more opportunities and challenges. Growing number of manufacturers have shown remarkable competitiveness, while moving beyond Industry 4.0 buzzwords and focusing on valuable business specific applications. The current trend of automation, electronic data interchange, and big data analytics in manufacturing and business industries have significantly contributed to the industrial design and operations for enhanced productivity and delivery of  high consumer value. This new revolution has driven the challenges towards unifying human elements and digitization for achieving the new generation business growth and economic development in the region. New trends in manufacturing, financial, management, marketing and supply chain management in the twenty-first century have made a drastic drift in business practices across the global and local markets. The challenges lie in the development and governance of the technology and its effective implementation.

This conference aims at bringing together the international forum for raising qualitative discussion on the Industry 4.0 theme and its impact on business – to – business, business  – to-consumers, the global-local business imperatives and towards driving the national economy. This conference would also enrich knowledge and skills on contemporary business strategies towards automation and digitisation process in manufacturing, services and marketing organisations.
